Birthday Pics

Maddie had a good birthday! (Not sure why my typing is underlined) She took a snack into school of popcorn and yogurt to share with her friends. The days of taking in cupcake to school are over. They only allow healthy snacks, which is a good thing. For dinner her birthday request was Jerry & Sal's Pizza with mushrooms and pepperoni's. You Hanovarians know how yummy Jerry & Sal's Pizza is. It is the only pizza we get.
We then (oh, underlining is gone) finished the day off with a tie dyed birthday cake and everyones favorite...PRESENTS!
Such a drama queen!
Like I said....goofball!!!
Miley Cyrus CD
This kid is a total freak about orange Tic Tacs. Asks for them everytime we go to the store.
Hannah Montana lotion
Loves puzzles (thought I would throw in some learn there with the USA one!)

Maddie's First Day & A New Picture Program

School Days, School Days, Mommy LOVES School Days!!!!!! Maddie is off to her first day of school. She was a little nervous, but kissed me goodbye and off she was! We had her Back To School Night last night and she met a new girl that just moved here. When we got home she said, "Mom, I'm going to make her a picture to welcome her to our school, she's probably a little scared being in a new school and not knowing anyone." She wrote on the picture, "Welcome to 3rd grade. Hope you have a great time. Your new friend, Maddie" How sweet is that?!
Over the summer I watched my good friend Andrea's daughter, Cara. I started watching her when she was 3 months old, so Maddie and her grew up together. They are the best of friends. They wanted a picture of their last day of summer together yesterday. They will miss being with each other everyday, but when I told them next summer Cara will be here again, they were all excited and already planning things to do. Goofy Girls!!!
I found a new picture program on my computer....never knew it was there, how, I don't know. I was fooling around with some of our pictures from the Outer Banks. They turned out pretty cool.
I have a feeling I will be doing more. The program is so cool. You can do collages and posters too.
Hope you are all enjoying our blog so far. Thanks for the comments.

Hayden's First Day of School

Hayden has his first day of school today. He was so excited to go! The bus picks him up at 11:30 so we have to eat and early lunch. Something we will have to get adjusted to. How cute does he look in the picture below?? Maddie's first day is tomorrow. Should be an interesting morning as she is not use to getting up early. Can't wait to hear how Hayden's day went.
Some shots from this morning.....

Watching videos of themselves

They giggled the whole time!
Looks rotten, doesn't he?

My Attempt at Blogging

I decided to start blogging the day and the life of the Dell Five. Hayden's Caringbridge site will be for medical stuff and the blog, well for everything else complete with pictures. I thought it would be cool to have to show the kids when they get older....ya know for blackmailing purposes! So I hope you enjoy reading about our sometimes boring, sometimes hectic, sometimes serious, and sometime silly life. Julie
